Audrey Venable (Monica)

Audrey Venable is absolutely honored to be playing Monica in HAUNT, along with an incredible group of artists! Recent Credits include Female Swing in Bonnie & Clyde, Mary Warren in The Crucible, Jane Bennett in Pride and Prejudice, and Irene Roth in Crazy for You. She’s also had the tremendous honor of being in the world of film and has been seen in the award-winning short films: Marbles, The Trobie, and Audrey Austen. Audrey is a recent graduate from Lipscomb University’s Theatre Department and is beyond grateful for her family, friends, and mentors for their support and love throughout her journey. Psalm 27. Craig M. Cartwright (Samuel)

Craig M. Cartwright, a Nashville local, is an accomplished stage and film actor whose recent stage work includes compelling performances in 77 Letters, Noises Off, And Then There Were None, and These Shining Lives. His filmography includes notable roles in This House Won't Let Us Go, Kintsugi, and YPIT. Beyond acting, Craig has a passion for writing and is currently developing a feature film project titled The Unknown Truth of Charles Dimitri Cochran. Craig is particularly excited about bringing the character Samuel to life in HAUNT and looks forward to this and his other projects reaching audiences throughout 2024 and 2025.

Dustin Davis (Max)

Dustin Davis is very excited to return to the Darkhorse for this new work! Nashville Credits include Nash Rep's Indecent (Avram), Ragtime, and RENT, Studio Tenn's Camelot, and NCT's Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (Mr. Salt), Click, Clack, Boo! (Farmer Brown), and The Wizard of Oz (Tin Man s/b, perf.). Dustin cut his teeth in the Midwest playing leading roles in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Sweeney Todd, Assassins, The Full Monty, The Scarlet Pimpernel, CHESS, Heathers, Annie Get Your Gun, 1776, and Into the Woods. Ella Bato (Sarah)

Ella Bato is a Boston based actress currently studying Theater Performance at Belmont University. Ever since her first major community theater role as "Star to Be'' in Annie she knew the stage was where she wanted to be. Ella's favorite roles have been Annie in Belmont University’s production of The Play that Goes Wrong, Annabel Glick in Belmont’s production of Lucky Stiff, Hope Cladwell in Urinetown, Rona Lisa Peretti in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Hunyak in Chicago and Titania in Midsummer Night's Dream. She also appears as a featured extra in films including Good Burger 2 and The Perfect Couple

Grant Weathington (Parker)

Grant Weathington moved to Nashville to pursue a BFA in Musical Theater from Belmont University, leaving a small, rural town in Georgia behind. Since moving, he has been named among the Class of 2024: Most Promising Actors by Jef Ellis, starred in Street Theater Company’s production of Ordinary Days as Warren, and perfected his chicken recipe. See him this summer in another Street Theater Company production: Fun Home. Grant feels so incredibly lucky to be amongst the first to put this beautiful show up on its feet. Susannah Winspear

Susannah Winspear’s artistic journey spans genres and regions. Originally from Western NY, she crafted costumes and apparel for Broadway, TV, and fashion lines in New York City. As a quirky piano- pop singer/songwriter, she won two awards in the 2019 Great American Songwriting Contest. Now in Nashville, she's returning to her first love—theater—recently performing the role of the evil enchantress Arcwyn in the original play Role for Initiative. Thrilled to join another original work, she will draw inspiration from the eerie six months she lived alone in a haunted old townhouse.

Ruben Estevez

Ruben Estevez, a Houston native, followed his passion for songwriting to Nashville securing a publishing deal with Word Records. After winning the Grand Prize in The Music City Songwriter competition, his song "Lie" was later cut by Tracy Lawrence and released as a single. In 2019, he penned his first musical Marcos, delving into his upbringing as a closeted gay man in Texas. His latest project, HAUNT, explores a young woman who moves into an apartment inhabited by a ghost. Ruben is thrilled to see HAUNT on stage for the first time. He is currently collaborating on two new musicals.

Shawn Whitsell

Shawn Whitsell is a multi-disciplined theatre artist and founder/artistic director of the Destiny Theatre Experience. In addition to his work with DTE, Shawn regularly collaborates with several theatre companies and arts organizations to create work that is impactful and transformative. He believes it’s “an artist’s duty to reflect the times,” as the late great Nina Simone brilliantly stated, thus using the arts to address complex social issues and build community. Outside of theatre, Shawn spends time volunteering for causes he believes in, curating social/cultural events, and practicing radical love. Stephen Kummer

Stephen Kummer is an EMMY award winning arranger, pianist and conductor.  Previous Studio Tenn productions include: Camelot, Mamma Mia!, Cinderella, Guys and Dolls, Gypsy, West Side Story, The Wizard of Oz, My Fair Lady, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Les Miserables. National Tours: Beauty and the Beast, Legally Blonde. As arranger: Boston Pops, Pittsburg Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, Houston Symphony, Cleveland Pops, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line, Madagascar, A Musical Adventure. As conductor: Nashville Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, Joan Rivers, Bob Newhart, Marvin Hamlisch, Nelly, Texas Tenors, Fortnite, Call of Duty, Madden NFL, Destiny, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Altered Carbon.  Stephen recently composed the score for Sea World Abu Dhabi opening in 2023. He lives in Nashville with his wife Jennifer, and their daughters, Elsa and Greta.
